Off to School
This Tuesday marks a milestone in my family. My firstborn, Danielle, is heading off to school. I don't know how this is possible, it seems like she was just born. (She's 6 1/2 - when did THAT happen?!?) She will be attending Grace Christian School. Francine and I have wrestled since the day she was born about what to do about school. We were thinking about home schooling for quite a while, but we have been helped with the tuition at Grace, and for at least this year, Danielle will be going there. We appreciate the Christian environment she'll be in. 6 is too young to let a non-Christian become one of the dominant teachers in a kid's life. They even have a Bible class (though I'm going to have to work on the school - they use the King James Version - I don't even understand it...). I get to go on Tuesday to be given the grand tour and to meet all her classmates. (All the boys get to meet her Dad and see how huge he his in case they ever decide to pick on her!) I know she'll do great. Danielle is a wonderful girl with a soft heart (she gets that from her Mom). I still don't know how she got to be so old. Daddy loves you sweetie! (I don't know how I'm going to handle the wedding!)
